With the second weekend of January, the 2026 Winter Championships The competitions have become increasingly lively. From Friday, January 9th to Sunday, January 11th, eight Italian regions (Campania, Emilia-Romagna, Lazio, Lombardy, Marche, Piedmont, Tuscany, and Umbria) brought over 1.000 competitive athletes to the arena, competing in the Olympic Trench, Compak Sporting, Universal Trench, and Hunting Trail specialties. It was a busy weekend, which lit up venues across the country with well-attended competitions and great enthusiasm.

Not even the cold and challenging weather conditions dampened the shooters' passion, as they took to the competition with determination and competitive spirit. Thirteen local sports clubs were involved, accommodating the athletes competing in the three-day competition from north to south.
Lombardy, a confirmation
Lombardy confirmed its position as the week's most popular region with 222 participants, followed by Campania, which, thanks to the Raimondo (CE) TAV event, took second place with 183 participants. Umbria rounded out the podium with 163 participants, distributed between the Umbriaverde-Todi (PG) and Gualdo Tadino (PG) TAVs (source: FITAV).
