New appointment
Contrary to the lighthearted chant by Sergio Caputo way back in 1983, this coming Saturday, July 18th, in Ceresole d'Alba (province of Cuneo) will not be just any Saturday. In 11 days, this part of Piedmont will host the third round of the "Tenuta Bonicelli" Trophy , named after the Ceresole estate that has hosted it for the past ten years. This event counts towards the final ranking of the event, specifically a trial for quail pointing dogs (without shooting).
Who will participate
The categories in competition, as usual, are the following:
- English “Hunters”
- English “Elite”
- Continental “Hunters”
- Continental “Elite”
- Continental and English Youth
The meeting is scheduled for 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the hunting lodge of the Ceresole d'Alba hunting farm. The trial will begin at 6:30 a.m.
Awards
Prizes for each category will be awarded to the first, second, and third place finishers, with the prize money reduced proportionally if there are fewer than 10 entries in each category. There will also be a coveted prize for the best young rider. The Tenuta Bonicelli Trophy will then be awarded to the rider with the highest score, determined by the sum of the points earned in the various circuit events.
