La hunting in the Bergamo area it has always been characterized by a start towards the middle of August, with particular reference to hunt for summers. As announced by the local section of the Hunting FederationHowever, times have changed and last August 17th there was no hunting opening, while the 2016-2017 season with the selection hunting for large ungulates present in the territory.
The sampling concerns male roe deer, sub-adult deer and male mouflon. For the suede, however, we will have to wait until next 11 September. The launch is staggered and among the other dates on the calendar is the 16 October (female deer). The ungulates that can be killed in the various alpine hunting areas of the province are 635: going into more detail of the plan, it is about 467 roe deer, 126 deer and 33 mouflons.
The withdrawal rate, on the other hand, ranges from a minimum of 5% to a maximum of 15,57%. Compared to last year there has been an increase in numerical terms, given that in 2015 there were huntable ungulates 576 (+ 10%): the first sampling of this type in the area dates back to 1977 and in nearly four decades the population of the animals in question has progressively increased.
