Federcaccia Umbria organizes the 2015 Monte Pozzoni Trophy in Norcia and Cascia, a dog trial without killing dedicated to "hunters Mountain".

The "Monte Pozzoni Trophy" returns to Norcia and Cascia, a dog trial without killing that takes its name from the dog training area (Zac) that hosts the event, with the 2015 edition full of emotions for lovers of standing dog and of the English races. Also this year the Trophy will be divided into three stages, scheduled for as many different Sundays: 7 June, 5 July and 2 August.

In addition to the main game that is the partridge, among the wild animals considered as valid points there are the quail - which populates the grounds of the dog training area in large numbers from May to August -, the croccolone, the whisk and the snipe - occasional presences but not impossible during the summer. In any case, all real and difficult wild.

The first appointment is for next Sunday, June 7th, at 6 am at the entrance to the training area, on the Civita di Cascia pass. The test, dedicated to mountain hunters, follows the formula of the "partridge hunting on natural game", thanks to the large number of pairs already present in the area and to a targeted introduction, articulated several times during the days preceding the event.

The rounds will take place in pairs and the hunting aptitudes for the hunt for partridge in the mountains, in addition to the typicality and adherence to the breed standards of the subjects presented. Since this is a test dedicated to hunters, the incorrectness of the whisk will not affect the result of the subjects presented, as long as they remain in hand and return to hitting the ground after a reasonable time. The use of the bell and the beeper at standstill is allowed.

For each stage, points in the standings, battery and race prizes are up for grabs. At the end of the third stage, the final classification will assign a very rich prize pool: 400 euros of vouchers for hunting clothing items, two badges for the next training season in the Zac and the highly coveted "Monte Pozzoni Trophy 2015", which will be awarded to end of the barrage among the first three auxiliaries in the standings, among those who took part in at least two out of three races.

In addition, for each day there will be culinary prizes typical of Valnerina for the best twelve dogs (the first six of each battery), for the two best breed representatives (pointer and setter) and for the best young dog. Any other awards will be assigned according to availability. All without forgetting the usual, abundant picnic at the end of each test day. In short, the "Monte Pozzoni" Trophy, organized by the municipal sections of the Federcaccia di Cascia and Norcia, is announced again this year as a real party for all setters, pointers and their two-legged friends ...
