Resolutions adopted
On Wednesday 14th January, during the first meeting of the year, the Federal Council of FITAV, led by President Luciano Rossi, unanimously passed important resolutions related to sporting activities in 2026. Regarding the Olympic disciplines, Marco Conti was confirmed as National Technical Director for Trap. The Umbrian coach will be supported by Rodolfo Viganò and Fabrizio Satolli as Coaches and Technical Staff, and by Daniele Lucidi, Emanuele Bernasconi, and Giuliano Callara as Coaches of the Youth Sector Teams.
Skeet Athletes
For Skeet, Luigi Agostino Lodde has also been confirmed as the National Technical Director. Pierluigi Pescosolido will support the Sardinian coach as Coach and University Team Coach, along with Umberto Ortolani and Nicola Irene as Youth Team Coaches. Daniele Di Spigno and Sandro Bellini have been appointed as Technical Organizers of Training Camps in Italy and abroad. After formalizing the technical assignments, the Board approved the names of the members of the 2026 Italian Trap and Skeet Teams, fully incorporating the recommendations of the respective National Technical Directors.
The assignments
Regarding Paralympic activities, Benedetto Barberini has been confirmed as Technical Director, supported by Riccardo Rossi as Coach. The Selection Criteria for the National Para-Trap Team have also been approved (click here to view the Selection Criteria). Regarding amateur or non-Olympic events, the Federal Council has assigned the following roles:
- Universal Pit: Sandro Polsinelli (Coach), Vito Cito and Giuliano Callara (Youth Sector Coaches)
- Compak Sporting and Sporting: Veniero Spada (Coach)
- Combined Hunting Shooting: Alfonso D'Amato (Technical Commissioner)
- ATA/DTL and Trap 1: Giampaolo Micheletti (Technical Commissioner)
- Propeller: Sebastiano Molinari (Coach)
Also in this case, taking into account the suggestions of the Technical Commissioners, the Federal Council has approved the Selection Criteria for Non-Olympic Teams (source: FITAV).
