30th edition of the Chiesina Uzzanese Bird Song Fair takes place on 14-15 August 2010 at the Pertini park.The event called the "5 A", will take place over two days:
Saturday 14th , from 18.00pm onwards, a dog competition of “Games without Borders” open to all species of dogs, organised by the Fido Camp dog centre, will be followed by an exhibition of ungulate trophies organised by Arturo Tintori, then everyone under the tent… to taste the traditional cioncia, tripe, Tuscan porchetta and many other culinary wonders.
On Sunday 15th , at the crack of dawn, the singing competition will open with participants from all over Italy. Last year, over 400 competitors took part. As early as 3.00 in the morning, the first stalls will begin to arrive to be ready to welcome the thousands of visitors from all over Tuscany. A sort of market with over 60 stalls will fill the beautiful squares of Chiesina Uzzanese.
The Chiesina Uzzanese Bird Song Fair is the pride of the Municipal Administration, as it is one of the few hunting events in the world left in Italy. This is the result of a strong collaboration between the Municipal Administration and the Association, which, in addition to organizing the fair, also organizes other collateral events, collaborating with all the associations in the area, all on a non-profit basis.
