The Russian Alipov Alexei wins the 3rd Round of the Men's Olympic Pit World Cup.
The last race of the 3rd Round of the World Cup, that of the Men's Olympic Pit, is won by the Russian Alipov who, having entered the final thanks to no shoot-off, faces the last 25 targets with the determination of the champion and rules all of them by closing at share 144/150. Behind him the Chinese Xiaokai Yu, second with 143 +1 and third the Czech David Kostelecky with 143 +0.
Giovanni Pellielo (Fiamme Azzurre) from Vercelli who had qualified for the decisive series with the best score (123/125), in the final he had to settle for 16 hits out of 25 possible and stopped in 6th position with 139/150. Erminio Frasca (Fiamme Oro) from Priverno (LT) ruins everything in the last qualifying series where two mistakes cost him entry to the final and closes in 9th place with 120/125.
Too bad also for Massimo Fabbrizi (Carabinieri) of Monteprandone (AP) who pays dearly for the errors collected on the first day of competition and stops in 14th position with 119. Among the MQS Giulio Fioravanti (Forestale) of Rome closes with the total score of 115 / 125.
The next international appointment will be in Italy from 6 to 16 June for the 4th and final World Cup event which will be hosted by Trap Concaverde in Lonato del Garda (BS).
