The facts
It is a real tragedy that has taken place in the last few hours in Cetraro, a seaside village in the province of Cosenza. A 64-year-old man died following an attack by a wild boar (but there could have been more), which apparently got too close to his vegetable garden.
The need for an autopsy
It seems that the incursions of ungulates into the victim's land were frequent, unfortunately the traps and any other precaution were useless. An autopsy was ordered to understand if the wild animal's wounds were decisive or if it was a case of illness.
Prosecutor's Office
The dynamics of the accident are being investigated and the Public Prosecutor's Office of Paola is dealing with the activity. The fact remains that the story is very sad and that the wild boar emergency does not seem to spare any area of our country.
