Good and bad weather
Paolo Sparvoli, number one of theNational Free Hunting Association, has entrusted his latest considerations on hunting matters to a note: “For years, ISPRA has been calling the shots on hunting, often ignoring data from other scientific bodies and producing independent studies. Suffice it to say that the last estimate of the wolf population in Italy dates back almost six years, and to date, there aren't even reliable scientific projections.".
National Faunistic-Venatory Technical Committee
The statement continues: “Well, it is time that, after its reconstitution, the National Wildlife and Hunting Technical Committee makes its authoritative voice heard, loud and clear, in matters of wildlife management and hunting policy, reducing the Institute's excessive role as, moreover, already confirmed by the Council of State.".
Need for transparency
The conclusions are entrusted to a wish: "ISPRA, in fact, has long demonstrated its subservience to pressure from a certain political group, ideologically hostile to hunting, and always ready to tighten regulations and timetables. The institute is part of the CTFVN and must operate within it in a transparent, collaborative, and as technically and scientifically sound manner as possible, without pontificating or dictating dogma.".
