These are rather intense days from a hunting point of view for the Council of State. After the ruling on the 2025-2026 calendar of the MarcheThe judges also ruled on another region, Abruzzo. Specifically, today, Wednesday, January 14, 2026, they will rule on the appeal filed by the Abruzzo Ornithological Institute and the National League for the Defense of the Dog (LNDC).
Original version
The two organizations filed an appeal against the Region against Federcaccia, ANUUMigratoristi, Enalcaccia, Arci Caccia, Libera Caccia, and Italcaccia. Specifically, they requested a reversal of the Abruzzo Regional Administrative Court's ruling of December 15, which required the calendar to be restored to its original form.
ISPRA opinion
These are the explanations of the ruling of the Council of State: “The Abruzzo Region, in considering the opinion of the National Wildlife Hunting Technical Committee, partially disregarding the ISPRA opinion, has taken a prima facie decision that is not illogical nor based on a misrepresentation of the facts.“For this reason, the precautionary request was rejected.
