Dino Pepe, Councilor for Agricultural Policies of Abruzzo region, wanted to comment on the intricate and difficult situation that is being experienced in the hunting field after the controversial sentence of the Tar of L'Aquila which has effectively suspended the hunting activity. According to Pepe, the regional council is following the developments of the appeal which was presented by the local section of the WWF.
For almost three weeks it has been known that the Abruzzo calendar has been blocked and for the councilor up to now a decree of the president of the Regional Administrative Court without listening to the parties. The suspension of the hunting of certain huntable species will last until the council chamber of the next September 28th. The Abruzzo Region has decided to appear in court to expose its reasons and make it clear that the judges' complaints are without foundation.
Pepe's hope is that with the decision there is also the motivation of the same. In any case, the local authority is ready to incorporate the results indicated by the judiciary to ensure that the hunting season starts immediately after the pronunciation and in full legitimacy. In fact, it is necessary to protect the waited for Abruzzo hunters, but also of farmers and citizens worried about the constant and dangerous invasion of wild boars.
