TAV Marmore Falls
It was a weekend full of success for the Abruzzo Clay Pigeon Shooting Association , which played a key role on the national stage on Saturday, August 8th and Sunday, August 9th, not only for hosting the First Category Interregional Grand Prix, held at the TAV Cascata delle Marmore (TR), but also for the results achieved by its specialists in the field. The most prestigious result came thanks to Giuseppe Gasparretti, representative of the TAV Il Lago (TE), who finished in first place with a score of 143/150. Another fellow countryman, Andrea Saccomandi of the TAV Sant'Uberto (PE), finished second with a score of 142/150+3, a double that allowed the Abruzzo shooters to occupy the top two steps of the podium in the Cadet Category.
Positive feedback
Completing the excellent performance was Michele Vocino, also a member of TAV Sant'Uberto. After qualifying for the final round with a score of 118/125+1, Vocino finished fifth overall with a score of 139/150. Positive feedback also came from the 4th FITAV Grand Prix, a national event reserved for the Excellence Category and Ladies Qualifying, Men's Youth Sector, and Women's Youth Sector. Among the participants, Azzurra Alessia Iezzi of TAV Sant'Uberto (PE) stood out, taking second place in the Ladies Qualifying and sixth overall with scores of 119/125+1+7 and 27/30, once again confirming her position as a key figure in the regional shooting movement.
The commitment of the athletes
Commenting on the successful weekend was FITAV Abruzzo Regional Delegate Guido Margiotta, who emphasized not only the results achieved but also the overall commitment shown by the Abruzzo athletes competing in the two events. "It was an emotional weekend for Abruzzo Clay Pigeon Shooting, which once again distinguished itself through the results, dedication, and passion of its athletes. Giuseppe Gasparretti's victory, Andrea Saccomandi's second place in the First Category Interregional Grand Prix, Michele Vocino's fifth place, and Alessia Iezzi's excellent performance in the fourth FITAV Grand Prix are a source of great satisfaction for all of us in Abruzzo. My thanks go to them, as well as to all the shooters who participated in the competitions.
