“Nothing justifies hunting”
Despite the questions being collected by Pier Giovanni Capellino himself, and then glossed over, the UNA Foundation – Man, Nature, Environment – continues to receive no answers from the pet food company that launched its campaign “Nothing Justifies Hunting” last October.
How is the business fueled?
Some answers are indeed found in the company's official materials, which state that it uses chicken, turkey, beef, lamb, pork, and even wild boar—the latter sourced from "hunting waste"—to fuel its business. Furthermore, 56% of this meat is claimed to come from non-EU countries, particularly Thailand.
The unanswered questions
On the other questions that remain unanswered, the UNA Foundation intends to relaunch:
- How many of these killed animals does Almo Nature use for business?
- What are the recognized health standards for pet food from non-EU countries, such as Thailand?
The UNA Foundation continues to wait for clarity, once and for all, and to stop creating misleading distractions against hunting to hide the truth of a business that, ultimately, could prove unethical. (Una Foundation Press Office)
