Cartography and tables
During the discussion of the reform of the hunting law The Senate Agriculture and Environment Committees approved the amendment extending the ban on lead ammunition to all wetlands. Having accepted the government's proposed reformulation, which stipulates that the maps and tables "developed in accordance with the principles and obligations of the European REACH Regulation" are not only indicative but also "non-exhaustive." During the debate on the hunting law reform, the Senate Agriculture and Environment Committees approved the rapporteurs' amendment prohibiting the use of lead ammunition in wetlands.
Journey through Parliament
In the absence of any changes to the contrary, once the Malan bill has completed its parliamentary passage, Law 157/92 will change Article 31: all wetlands, even temporary ones, will be affected by the ban, not just those recognized by the Ramsar Convention or those falling within Sites of Community Interest, SPAs, reserves, and protected oases.
Use and also transport
Not only will the use of lead ammunition be punishable, but also its simple transportation, which will be considered equivalent to carrying it: the paragraph that now states that "routes through a wetland area are not considered routes taken via roads classified as motorways, main extra-urban roads, secondary extra-urban roads, urban arterial roads, urban district roads, and similar" has been omitted (source: National Free Hunting Association).

It's completely absurd what's happening with the lead ban in wetlands. There are very few hunters left, and with these absurd laws there will be even fewer. I hope everyone has the strength to stop this activity. Then we'll see what happens to the wolves, wild boars, deer, and so on... I would talk to all hunters. Let's stop for 2-3 years. Let's show that, once and for all, we're all in agreement. They'll have to call in the army to deal with the super-repopulation of certain species...
As for lead, beyond the bullshit law, I'd like to say: if someone is carrying lead ammunition in their car and has to cross a road with water flowing underneath, how are they supposed to do it? Equip yourself with a drone and cross the bridge at over 100 meters in the air to be in compliance? Do you look in the mirror to see your stupidity reflected? Lastly, next year there will be elections again, what will you promise? Have you thought about what bullshit you're going to promise?
Wake up, hunting world…!
