Last April 15th, at the Faculty of Sports Sciences of the University of L'Aquila, an educational conference on sport was held. Skeet shootingThe meeting with the students, coordinated by Professor Maria Giulia Vinciguerra, President of the Teaching Area Council, had as speakers Sandro Polsinelli, Technical Commissioner of the Italian National Universal Trench Team and Doctor, Pierluigi Pescosolido, Federal Coach and Coach of the FITAV National University Team, and Edoardo Kirschner, Athletic Trainer of the Italian Teams.
The fundamental aspects of the discipline
During the three-hour conference, the speakers provided a general overview of the sport of clay pigeon shooting, analyzing some key aspects: Polsinelli focused on the recommended diet for precision sports and anti-doping; Pescosolido on ballistics and handling of the sporting equipment; Kirschner on athletic preparation.
New generations
"Building on our nearly twenty-year collaboration with the Abruzzo University, which began in 2007, we've had the opportunity to introduce our sport to those who, in the future, will be responsible for introducing younger generations to the sport," Polsinelli explained. "Study and training are the foundation of personal and professional growth, and the Italian Clay Pigeon Shooting Federation has always believed in this outreach. I thank the University of L'Aquila, Professor Vinciguerra, and FITAV, who have allowed us to promote the sport of Clay Pigeon Shooting in an academic context."
