Appeal rejected
The Regional Administrative Court of Campania recently rejected an appeal against the derogation of the starling species . This is yet another familiar situation pitting animal rights and hunting organizations against each other.
the associations involved
The appeal was filed by:
– National Animal Protection Agency (ENP.A.)
– Italian League for the Protection of Birds (LIP.U.)
– LAV Anti-Vivisection League
– WWF Italy
– LNDC – Animal Protection
Federcaccia had instead intervened "ad opponendum".
Who will be able to go hunting
Starting October 1, 2025, hunting will be permitted only for hunters with a digital hunting license and for a maximum of 15 animals per day. This confirms the validity of the decree issued by the Campania Region.
