La Police of the Commissariat of Frascati (Rome) have ordered house arrest for what has been called a "Self-styled animal rights activist", accused of fraud, animal abuse and abusive practice of the profession. As reported by Next newspaper, it's about Antonio Colonna, a figure known for being one of the former minister's most important collaborators Michele Vittoria Brambilla (unrelated to the facts) and for his friendship with the correspondent of Striscia La Notizia Edward Stoppa.
His blitzes in the so-called "lager" dog farms to save the animals were famous. The kidnappings were passed off as rescues: in particular, just last October Colonna would have presented himself as zoophilic guard in an "illegal" farm in the province of Frosinone. The breeder's complaint had canceled everything.
Just a year ago, then, the self-styled animal rights activist ended up in the center of another investigation with equally heavy accusations, namely extortion, private violence, embezzlement and slander. Colonna is well known in animal rights circles for his blitzes and friendships with parliamentarians. It has often been defined "Right arm" of Brambilla and his Facebook page has quite a following as regards the operations carried out in his name.
