Big uproar
Given the outcry caused by the tragic end of the Bone dog, and the article published today in La Repubblica, it's important to emphasize that the hunting community, and in particular ARCI CACCIA, has always maintained that the wolf issue doesn't concern hunters. It's a problem for the institutions. We believe that even if culling were to be planned, these would be control measures, work for law enforcement, as the law we know well requires. Therefore, no hunting.
The need for an effective solution
While mayors must be clear in the thousands of meetings held across Italy's municipalities, those demanding solutions to this problem must be asked to intervene. If the issue of mountain farming is truly of primary importance, if we don't want to transform the "Internal Areas" into an endless series of fences and solar panels, an effective solution must be found.
No liability
We can help, but not solve the problem. If the countryside and the city speak different languages, the "terrible" hunting lobby bears no responsibility. Only that of existing and of always frequenting the countryside without hypocrisy (source: Arci Caccia).
