Solidarity and closeness
As a Arci Caccia Umbria We express our solidarity and support for the Palestinian people, victims of genocide. In this sense, we support and sustain the Global Sumud Flotilla expedition, engaged in peacekeeping and concrete support for the civilian population of the Gaza Strip, who for months have been suffering the consequences of a conflict that continues to cause unacceptable suffering. As an association that has always placed human dignity, respect for human rights, and peaceful coexistence among peoples at its core, we believe it is essential to support those who, through nonviolent means, seek to provide aid and break the isolation affecting thousands of civilians.
A just and lasting peace
We also believe that official recognition of the State of Palestine by the international community, and in particular by the Italian government, is now urgent. This would be the only credible step toward a just and lasting peace, based on mutual respect and coexistence between two peoples and two states. At the same time, we hope that the Palestinian people can build a future free from all forms of terrorism and extremist movements, such as those represented by Hamas, and the immediate release of all Israeli hostages captured following the brutal attack of October 7, 2023.
A universal principle
For this reason, we strongly urge Italy and Europe to assume their responsibility to promote peace through the recognition of Palestine and support for all non-violent civil initiatives. With this position, Arci Caccia Umbria intends to reaffirm its commitment to a universal principle: peace is not a utopia, but a collective responsibility that must be pursued with concrete choices and acts of justice.
