Hunters' representation
We welcomed with satisfaction the decision of TAR of Abruzzo which, evidently, noting possible illegitimacies in the provision with which the Region, by modifying the criteria of representation in the ATC, wanted to eliminate pluralism and the right of a large part of the hunters to be represented. Now, we trust that the Supreme Court will re-establish the rule of law and recognize the legitimate aspirations of Abruzzo hunters.
The association's questions
However, in the meantime, we cannot help but ask ourselves some questions: Who benefited from undertaking this questionable legislative initiative? It would not be appropriate, while awaiting the ruling on the legitimacy of regional law no. 11 of 2023, proceed with the administration of bodies that could be declared illegitimate? Will the next appointments of the members of the Management Committees, which are now upon us, be made with this rule on which the Constitutional Court must express its opinion, or will the Region take a different path?
What will the Region say
For us the answer to these questions is: "to no one, least of all to hunters" as regards the first question and "as soon as possible, also to protect the current members of the CGS" as regards the second. For the third, our answer seems obvious. We await the pronouncement of the Abruzzo Region (Arci Caccia Teramo, ANLC Teramo, Enalcaccia Teramo and Italcaccia Abruzzo).
