It was the same prosecutor, Greco, who asked for the acquittal of this morning Aldo Rosio, currently president of the municipal section of Asti and vice president of the provincial one of Federcaccia. And the judge, at the end of a short council chamber, ordered the acquittal with the broad formula "Because the crime does not exist". Great satisfaction from Rosio, always present at every audience, next to the his defender, the lawyer Mirate. "My client has been on the grill for four and a half years - said the lawyer Mirate - but finally his total extraneousness to the accusations has emerged".
In his harangue he stressed how this investigation was born from a feud between members of the hunters, with "someone who believed himself to be an Eternal Father", quoting a passage from the defender verbatim, also finding "absurd that the state has spent so much money and time on an investigation that immediately showed its inconsistency". Investigation that had started from a report by the Nas of Alexandria on an alleged round of non-native hare inputs in the restocking and capture areas managed by Rosio, the so-called ZRC. Rosio, as head of that of Isolone and president Federcaccia, would have, according to the allegations, presented to the Province of Asti of the accounts for the reimbursements that did not correspond to the expenses actually incurred, collecting a part of it without justification.
The first part of the investigation, that relating to immissions of "alien" hares, did not even get to the trial; the purchases of foreign hares, their arrival in Asti, the contacts between Rosio and importers were not already proven in the preliminary investigation. The accusation of "fraud" remained standing which, likewise, the prosecutor considered unproven, asking for the acquittal accepted by the judge. "The reimbursements have always been clear and linear, requested and collected in the manner indicated to us by the Province of Asti itself" had repeatedly stressed Rosio during his deposition (Lanuovaprovincia.it).
