CONTAGIOUS ENERGY
Agosta, in the province of Rome, our village surrounded by nature, buzzed with contagious energy last night! The 5th annual Festa del Cacciatore, organized with dedication by the Agosta branch of Federcaccia in collaboration with the Pro Loco di Agosta, was a true triumph. And for this initiative too... the rain brought us luck! A summer storm cooled the evening, creating the perfect atmosphere for enjoying traditional flavors. Just like during our eco-friendly day: when it rains, the Festa always succeeds!
TASTE IS THE PROTAGONIST
Piazza San Nicola was decked out for the holidays! An enthusiastic crowd filled the square to savor the delicacies prepared by our tireless volunteers, especially the ever-present pappardelle with wild boar, history and passion in an ancient dish. The big new addition for 2026: truffle bruschetta, an explosion of aromas and flavors, beloved by residents and visitors alike.
HUNTING, THE GUARDIAN OF BIODIVERSITY
It was an honor to host Dr. Antonella Labate of the UNA Foundation – Man, Nature, Environment. From the stage, she reminded us of the crucial connection between hunting, rural, agricultural, and environmental sectors. Collaboration with the UNA Foundation is the cornerstone of responsible land management. The modern hunter is a guardian of biodiversity with projects such as Operation Paladins of the Territory: hunters on the front lines cleaning and restoring degraded areas; Wild and Good: promoting sustainable and traceable game meat; Education in Schools: a training program to transform young people into aware "guardians" of the land. Teaching new generations that nature must be managed and protected scientifically and responsibly. The right path to protecting the environment and tradition. Dr. Labate also explained the importance of conscious consumption: healthy meat, a legal and transparent supply chain. With knowledge of the land, the hunter becomes an ally against poaching, in monitoring species, and in supporting science.
A GIFT TO THE COMMUNITY: A SAFER AGOSTA
During the evening, the Agosta chapter of Federcaccia proudly announced a major commitment to our town. We will donate a defibrillator to the Agosta community, which will be placed in Piazza San Nicola, the splendid square that has hosted the Hunter's Festival for five years. Our goal is simple: to have a heart-healthy town. Because greater safety is built day by day, with everyone's collaboration (source: FIDC).
