Resolution annulled
The Regional Administrative Court of the Marche (Second Section) has accepted the appeal of the animal-environmentalist associations and annulled the resolution approving the 2025/2026 hunting calendar , requiring the closing date for hunting activities for Thrushes and Woodcocks to be moved back to 10 January 2026.
The acronyms that presented the appeal
The appeal was presented more specifically by these associations: WWF, LIPU (Italian League for the Protection of Birds), Legambiente Marche, LAV (Anti-Vivisection League), ENPA (National Animal Protection Agency), La Lupus in Fabula, LAC (League for the Abolition of Hunting).
The allusion to ISPRA
One of the appellants' grounds, which was recognized as well-founded, concerns ISPRA. Specifically, they complained about "the unjustified deviation from ISPRA's opinion, which in turn takes as a reference the suggestions contained in the Key Concepts based on the latest 2025 update."
