The hearing has been adjourned until March 18th.
The disputed episode
Fugatti was not present in court, and he is charged with aggravated animal cruelty. The incident occurred on February 6, 2024, two years ago. M90 was seized after the Autonomous Province of Trento signed an order. The animal had been deemed dangerous following an incident that occurred a few days earlier.
Relevant clarifications
On January 28, the animal chased a group of hikers for about 500 meters in the Mezzana area. ISPRA (Italian National Institute for Environmental Protection and Research) requested the mammal's immediate cull, noting that the removal was handled by a team from the Forestry Corps, as expressly required by a provincial decree.
