An important gift
Last Saturday morning, at the headquarters of the Municipality of Monte Isola (Brescia), a short ceremony was held to deliver a defibrillator (AED) donated by the Pietro Beretta Arms Factory to the Municipality of Monte Isola. The meeting was attended by Dr. Franco Gussalli Beretta, the Mayor of Monte Isola, the Commander of the Local Police, representatives of associations, and several residents. The donation was prompted by the discovery that the new and only Local Police officer on Monte Isola was qualified to use the defibrillator and the connection to the lake island. This was a significant gift, certainly not because of the financial value of the item, but because of the desire to increase the number of efibrillators in the area of Sebino, with its unique geographical and traffic characteristics.
Local services
This donation will allow the Local Police officer to carry this life-saving device with him at all times while on duty. Lorenzo Ziliani, Mayor of Monte Isola, said: "Ours is a beautiful but unique area to live in, especially when faced with medical emergencies. Equipping ourselves with the necessary first aid equipment is a necessity and a duty. We must all work to ensure maximum safety for all residents and visitors. I thank Dr. Gussalli Beretta for donating the AED, which will be with the Local Police officer at all times. This is another valuable piece of the puzzle that will help raise the level of emergency response on the island."
