An unforgettable birthday
He couldn't have celebrated his 70th birthday in a more special way Luciano rossi, number one of the FITAV and of the ISSF. In fact, to celebrate him, Beretta wanted to give him a very special surprise, a unique piece that could only come out of the famous factory in Gardone Val Trompia. We are talking about one of the new SL2 shooting rifles that has already given important joys to Italian sport.
The medals won
In fact, this weapon has not yet been launched in its production version, but it has already won medals and awards. In particular, it is thanks to this shotgun that Jessica Rossi and Mauro De Filippis recently won gold at the European Championships held in Poland. What features does the gift reserved for Rossi have? First of all, the FITAV and ISSF logos have been reproduced on the two sides, as well as the colors of the Italian flag. The briefcase, then, is made of leather with the tricolor highlighted, the initials of Luciano Rossi, the special serial number "ROSSI70" and the number 70.
The words of Gussalli Beretta
This is the comment by Franco Gussalli Beretta, president of the Lombard company: “Beretta's bond with Luciano Rossi is the same strong feeling that my father Ugo, my brother Pietro, my son Carlo and I have had with clay pigeon shooting for more than 70 years, from the first Olympics in Melbourne in 1956 when we won the medal gold with Galliano Rossini. The common passion for this sport and the conviction of Italy's central role in its development push us and ISSF to work together for the same goal: to give clay pigeon shooting the right space within the world sports scene, as well as promote the benefits of this discipline to an ever wider audience. A special wish to Luciano Rossi for his 70th birthday, a heartfelt thanks for the work done up to now and the promise to continue our collaboration to ensure a bright future for skeet shooting".
Rossi's thanks
Luciano Rossi instead explained: “This gift gives me immense joy. Because you at Beretta are excellence: receiving something so special from a company with 500 years of history is a unique privilege. It is the passion that guides our souls in our daily work to maintain the importance and attention due to such a noble discipline on skeet shooting. And now, allow me to joke, I can no longer avoid going back to the platform to train and have fun and I promise you that I will also do it by taking beautiful pictures of this jewel. I would like to thank, for this, all the people of Fabbrica d'Armi who have contributed to the creation of this work of art which I will jealously keep".
