Hunting: Bergamo, still fighting in the province for the approval of the hunting wildlife plan, session postponed.
Still tension in the Province on the new wildlife and hunting plan on which councilors, hunters and environmentalists have been battling for years. It could have been the decisive session, that of the definitive go-ahead, and instead everything is postponed to Wednesday morning, 9 am. What happened in the classroom? Of the more than 50 amendments presented by Lista Bettoni, Lega Nord and Pdl, there were 16 changes to the original text approved by the Executive and much discussed within the majority. Of these, only three were considered valid by the provincial advocacy, which presented a negative opinion on the basis of the judgments of the Administrative Court and regional and European directives. A position that does not satisfy the authors of the amendments, in particular Vittorio Milesi (Lista Bettoni) and Matteo Malighetti (Lega Nord). Together with Guido Giudici (UDC) they are the ones who support the reason of the hunters, present in the classroom to make the province feel the breath on the neck. Which avoids the approval of the plan exposed to appeals by environmentalists (and therefore voidable) as happened in the past.
The problem is also political: within the Northern League, which governs Via Tasso, there are fervent supporters of hunting and hunters such as Malighetti. The crux lies entirely in the intervention of Giuseppe Prevedini, councilor of the Carroccio and mayor of Caravaggio: "We must not be in the interest of either ecologists or hunters, we are simply administrators - he explains - We evaluate the issue technically, because I would not want us is behind something not very positive: for example that someone wants to take home a few votes from hunters or ecologists. The interests of the wildlife plan must be made to allow hunters to go hunting. So we cannot afford to approve a plan that does not respect the sentences “.
"The postponement of the vote on the hunting fauna plan - comments Matteo Rossi, Pd - highlights a clear split in the ranks of the center-right, in particular in the Northern League group, and a political game played on the skin of both the hunting and environmental world . Our position remains that of wanting to give certainty to an entire sector, which today appears further away if, despite the negative technical opinions of the provincial offices, the majority will persist in wanting to move away from the prescriptions of the regional Vinca and the percentage of Tasp envisaged. The challenge of being able to synthesize different positions in the name of the environment as a common good now seems thrown to the wind by short-sighted and short-sighted political choices ". The first round ends with the opponents still engaged in the study phase, the match will go live on Wednesday morning.
