Suitable for hunting for large game, it is able to offer precision and reliability, through a series of cutting-edge technological systems..The birth of the company Antonio Zoli SpA can be placed in the first post-war period thanks to Antonio Zoli, the founder of the business. According to some historiographical research, it appears that as early as 1490 the name of the Zoli family was actively operating in the areas of Magno in Val Trompia, through their inclusion in the artisan fabric.
Antonio Zoli, at the beginning of his career collaborated for many years with the main companies in the sector, until 1945 October 1956, when he decided to open his own business. Thus began the move towards the commercial production of internal and external hammer shotguns, with juxtaposed and overlapped barrels. In 60 Antonio Zoli became the first example in the world of a manufacturer of replicas of historical muzzle-loading weapons, entering an extremely important market from a commercial point of view. Antonio Zoli SpA, consolidated its position in the market, becomes the first company to produce in Italy on an industrial scale, starting from the 3s, combined barrel shotguns with smooth and rifled bore. A few years pass and Zoli decides to start the production of express shotguns with overlapping and juxtaposed barrels, which were combined with bolt-action type shutter guns. By aiming at the innovation of each component of its products, Zoli has achieved a high quality standard based on design, precision, safety, manageability and fluidity. The production follows precise steps, ranging from a modern technician equipped with computer and Cad / Cam drawing systems in XNUMX dimensions, to the computerized measurement system with tolerances of one thousandth of a millimeter. Although Zoli has gradually chosen the adoption of the most modern systems for the production of its rifles, as regards the creation of the barrels it has preferred to continue the path of tradition, in order to guarantee unprecedented ballistic quality: a hand of highly qualified work.
We will now describe the main components of the Zoli carbines.
The obturator has a head with two closing wings with a claw extractor, embedded in the obturator body while the ejector is a piston. The shutter completely encloses the bottom of the cartridge and the appendix present on one of the two fins, performs the function of guide making the sliding particularly fluid. The shutter and casing are made starting from the steel bar, through numerical control mechanical processing; finally both are subjected to the thermal consolidation treatment. The new Stecher trigger unit, entirely made with CNC machines, consists of the safe and innovative “ISS” (Innovative Safety System), which guarantees the following properties: it cannot be inserted when the weapon is in safety or disarmed; it disengages automatically when the safety device is inserted; it disengages automatically when the shutter is opened. This system allows to cancel possible risks deriving from the use of the stecher device. The AZ 1900 series adopts the “DSS” (Double safety system) device, ie a safety device which, when inserted, by means of a special button, allows the bolt to be opened to remove the ammunition from the cartridge chamber in complete safety.
Furthermore, Zoli also wanted to focus on the high shooting accuracy of all the rifles in the range. For this reason, free floating barrels have been adopted. Still in the wake of the search for precision, it is possible to install the Glass Bedding system, that is the coupling between the mechanics and the wood processed in glass-bedding. , which contributes to further refine the accuracy of the shot. Another feature of the Zoli rifle is the muzzle brake, a specific system capable of reducing recoil by up to 40%. All these features can be found in the Bolt-Action AZ 1900 Series “Black Magic” rifle. The stock has been conceived exactly for the use of optics and to facilitate the support, having a shaft with a half beaver tail. The customized floating barrel has a diameter at the mouth of 17mm and is made with a buttoning system and is also lapped. The muzzle is finished absolutely recessed to ensure the best protection from accidental impacts. The shot can be direct accurate or equipped with a stecher. Both solutions are adjustable through a screw easily accessible from the outside. The calibers available for the Bolt-Action AZ 1900 Series “Black Magic” rifle are 308W - 300WM - 6,5 × 55. Aesthetically, this rifle has a very elegant electric blue livery, which contrasts with the black of the barrel and any assembled optics. The accuracy and reliability of this gun are proven by all the mechanical and technological devices, which have been adopted on it.
