Special attention
With a speed rarely seen in parliamentary work, the “Brambilla” bill on animal welfare is about to arrive in the classroom. A clear sign of particular attention towards those activities, such as hunting, in the sights of animal rights activists together with breeders.
Federcaccia's point of view
The number one of the Federcaccia, Massimo Buconi, expressed himself as follows: "Anyone who thinks that hunting is a marginal activity is wrong. In a period marked by wars and social and economic emergencies, Parliament considers a priority issues relating to hunting activity or rather the issues raised by the Honorable Brambilla".
Disproportionate penalties
The comment continues: "His PDL concerns the tightening of penalties for the mistreatment of animals. In a few weeks he is ready to arrive in the Chamber, when usually months and months of work are not enough. We are honored by so much attention, but this bill presents a problem, the equalization of all animals, therefore also those that are part of wildlife. Furthermore, there is a disproportion in the penalties which would be more severe than those provided for violence against a person".
