Hunting: Asti, the Province has planned the wildlife catching calendar as part of the “Faunal restocking plan of the provincial territory”.
The Province of Asti has planned, as usual, the "Faunal restocking plan of the provincial territory" to be carried out through the capture of wildlife within the Restocking and Capture Areas, established both for the local safeguarding of huntable species, and for the natural irradiation, but above all to capture hares and pheasants to be allocated to the venable territory. The manager of the Agriculture and Food Area of the Province of Asti Paolo Guercio specifies: "In such a difficult moment for the Authority due to the now chronic lack of financial resources, it was still intended to guarantee the repopulation of the territory that can be sold exclusively with native game of local capture (hares and pheasants), which ensures greater survival of the animals introduced, with better results and lower costs compared to the breeding and importing fauna ".
"The Provincial Restocking and Capture Areas - explains Guercio - thanks to the support in the management of the Territorial Areas of Hunting (ATC) assisted by the hunting associations, have been identified in suitable habitats and such as to constitute the best conditions for the reproduction of wild animals. natural state, without causing excessive damage to agricultural production ".
The capture operations will be conducted by the Environmental Wildlife Surveillance Agents of the Province who, with the precious collaboration of the ATC personnel, the voluntary hunting guards, the hunting associations and hunters and farmers, will guarantee the correct execution of all operations, with particular attention to the welfare of captured wildlife.
The Extraordinary Commissioner of the Province of Asti Alberto Ardia declares: "In order to guarantee the success of the operations, the Province addresses a warm appeal to all the Asti hunters to participate in them: for this reason, the catch calendars indicated below have been drawn up , which report the days and meeting points ".
