Hunting in Liguria. The Liguria Region has sent a formal request to the councilor of the Puglia Region - leader of the Agricultural Policy Commission at the Permanent Conference for relations between the State and the Regions - to quickly reopen a discussion table with the Ministries of the Environment, Agricultural Policies and Community Policies aimed at revising and updating the Key Concepts document with a transmission to the Italian Government and the European Commission of a documented scientific report.
This was announced by the regional councilor for hunting, Stefano Mai regarding the Key Concepts, i.e. the indications that each European State provides on the start of the migrazione pre-nuptial and post-breeding of each species of avifauna.
"We also asked that the technicians of the hunting associations recognized as per the European regulation on the matter participate at the table - explains Councilor Mai - the aim is to review the Key Concepts by intervening on some inconsistencies at European level concerning, for example, the sampling of the song thrush, on which Liguria recently won an appeal against the government. On this species, in neighboring France, sampling is allowed until February 20, while in Liguria it does not go beyond January 31 ".
