Pachino: Regulated hunting reopens in the marshes of the Pachino area.
This was communicated by the «Avifauna Migratoria» office of the Italian Hunting Federation. The guidelines to get to the reopening of the hunting activity were drawn up by Michele Sorrenti, head of the aforementioned office. Fans will be able to carry out the hunting activity on Sunday and Wednesday for two consecutive weeks, starting from January 9th.
Only residents of the municipalities of Pachino, Noto, Portopalo di Capo Passero and Ispica are authorized. Satisfaction was expressed by Antonio Di Maria, provincial delegate of the Sicilian Hunting and Nature Association.
"It was news that we had been waiting for some time - says Di Maria - and that establishes a management phase of the hunting activity in Sicily". In a note by Giuseppe La Russa, president of the Italian Federation of Hunting, explicit reference is made to the hunters of Pachino.
