Two very rich days
Organized by the Provincial Section of Federcaccia of Cuneo together with the Section of CaramagnaThe first edition of the "Festa del Federcacciatore Piemontese" will be held next weekend, Saturday, June 13th and Sunday, June 14th, featuring a packed program of conferences, exhibitions, and activities for enthusiasts and families. The event will open Saturday afternoon at the municipal cinema theater with an important technical conference on the management and health of hares. On Sunday, the festival will move to the city center streets, between Via Luigi Ornato, Piazza Boetti, and Piazza Castello. The arcades will host exhibition stands and various types of entertainment, from a dog show dedicated to hunting breeds to entertainment for children and spectators of all ages, including games, falconry displays, archery, and social gatherings.
The organizers' intentions
The organizers intend to open the doors of the hunting world to all citizens, demonstrating their connection to the local area and respect for environmental regulations, making it an annual traveling event involving different areas of the region.
The unity of all hunters
"Our role is often criticized for a lack of knowledge," said Guido Dellarovere, Regional President of Federcaccia Piemonte. "In reality, hunters are socially useful. We are the ones who constantly monitor the territory to assess and census wild game populations. Furthermore, Federcaccia implements major operations to contain invasive species, starting with wild boar, which currently causes serious damage to agriculture. We have long been working alongside government agencies to monitor the areas affected by African swine fever. In this emergency, only hunters, along with law enforcement, have actively participated in combating and eradicating the spread of the disease. This demonstrates how indispensable our role has become for protecting the environment and public health. Today, more than ever, the unity of all hunters is crucial: only by remaining united and united can we assert our rights, overcome prejudices, and confirm our role as true guardians and sentinels of the territory."
