A young male
ACMA – Association of Migratory Water Hunters, a branch of Federcaccia, announces that, as part of various research projects involving the use of satellite telemetry, it has successfully captured and equipped a young male pintail duck with a transmitter for the first time.
The intercepted area
The ACMA was quite frank in this case: "The data provided isn't what we expected, but it's interesting nonetheless. The pintail has indeed remained in Italy and is still transmitting by moving around the Po Delta in Veneto."

A week ago, we were instead given updates on the gadwall: “We might think it was unfortunate that it didn't migrate, because we certainly all enjoy following animals on long journeys, but in reality, even the data provided by an animal like this gadwall, settled in Italy, is fundamental.”
