Exciting weekend
Over the weekend of Saturday, August 1st and Sunday, August 2nd, the 2026 Italian Individual "Golden" Compak Sporting Championship was held on the platforms of the Vetralla TAV (VT) , an event that attracted 279 specialists from all over Italy. The shooters competed over a distance of 200 clays, at the end of which the 2026 Italian Champion titles in the amateur specialty were awarded. Michael Spada of Fabro (PG) won the Excellence title, also recording the best score of the event, with an excellent 199/200. He was followed by Daniele Valeri (Navy) of Artena (RM), who took silver with 194/200, while the bronze medal went to Cristian Camporese of Padua, who won the shoot-off with 193/200+9 over Marco Battisti of Pesaro (PU), who came in fourth with 193/200+8.
Ladies
Among the Ladies, the Italian Championship was won by Katiuscia Spada of Fabro (PG), who won with a score of 193/200. Completing the podium were Carla Flammini of Bellante (TE), who took silver with a score of 178/200, and Giulia Allegrucci of Riccione, who took bronze with a score of 175/200. In the Junior category, the Italian title went to Samuel Ligi of Fermignano (PU), who won first with a score of 187/200. Second place went to Simone Bobba of Arce (FR), who took silver with a score of 184/200, while Mattia Degli Antoni of Passirano (BS) took bronze with a score of 182/200.
First category
In the First Category, the 2026 Italian title was won by Mario Nalli of Pontinia (LT), first with a score of 192/200. He was followed by Federico Vitarelli of Casciana Terme (PI), second with a score of 191/200, and Federico Busi of Verdello (BG), third with a score of 188/200. The Second Category title went to Michele Cipullo of Teverola (CE), winner with a score of 190/200. Finishing just one clay behind was Gianmaria Danieli of Desenzano del Garda (BS), silver with a score of 189/200, while Rocco Viola of Palmi (RC) took bronze with a score of 187/200.
Third category
In the Third Category, Edoardo Brunelli of Cetona (SI) won with 183/200, ahead of Francesco Molinaro of Lenola (LT), second with 181/200, and Moreno Cola of Gualdo Cattaneo (PG), third with 179/200. Among the Seniors, top honors went to Alessandro Gaetani of San Miniato (PI), winner with 195/200. Enrico De Tomasi of Villafranca Padovana (PD) took second place with 192/200, while Giuseppe Calò of Fucecchio (FI) won the bronze medal with 191/200.
Veterans
In the Veterans Qualification, the Italian Championship went to Mauro Bosi of Forlì (FC), first with 186/200. Pier Luigi Fantozzi of Campiglia Marittima (LI) finished second with 182/200, followed by Giovanni Provenzale of Rimini, third with 179/200+16. The Masters Qualification rounds out the list of new Italian Champions, with Salvatore Valentini of Longiano (FC) winning with 177/200. Gian Mario Ferrari of Zanica (BG) took the silver medal with 176/200, while the bronze medal went to Alvaro Leardini of Morciano di Romagna (RN), third with 172/200 (source: FITAV).
