The appeal of the hunting associations
On 5 July at the Cosenza Police Headquarters, Ill.mo Quaestor Michele SPINA, a person sensitive to needs of hunters, accepted the appeal of the Hunting Associations, setting up a technical table to discuss the age-old and problematic issue which, for some years now, has concerned the release/renewal of firearms licenses for hunting use, presenting considerable delays.
The presidents present
The Presidents of the Hunting Associations were present: Federcaccia, Libera Caccia, Enalcaccia, Arcicaccia and ANUU Migratoristi, who were received by the new Vicar of the Quaestor of Cosenza Dr. Giuseppe LANAIA, by the Chief Executive Dr. Ferruccio MARTUCCI and by the Isp. Pierluigi MARSICO. The meeting, cordial and helpful, revealed in the convincing words of Dr. LANAIA, recognizing the problems on the longest back issues, reassurances, stating that he had strengthened the Firearms Office, pending the arrival of the new Head of office manager.
The reassurances
Furthermore, reassurances have been given that hunters with a preliminary investigation being renewed have the license to carry firearms by the opening date of the hunting season. On the contrary, for those hunters who have encountered problems during the investigations, they will be evaluated with care and attention for any refusal, it being understood that this takes place in the appropriate times and ways, as required by law, in order to make possible the right of defense of the applicant in a short time. The meeting was then concluded with satisfaction by the Hunting Associations, who confidently see, finally, a hope of resolution of the problem in question (Francesco A. Greco (Federcaccia), Francesco Rizzuto (Libera Caccia), Fernando Allevato (Enalcaccia) , Adele Iannuzzi (Arcicaccia), Nicola Carolei (ANUU)).
