Immeasurable affection
It ended with a 5th Olympic place (after thesilver won in the mixed relay of the Biathlon) Dorothea Wierer's career, perhaps the biathlete par excellence of our movement. On social media she posted a message that inevitably brings a tear to the eye: “I never imagined I'd receive so much affection from the people who follow me and biathlon. Thanks to all the fans, I've learned how important it is to be yourself, be respectful, and be able to convey emotions not just through results.".
Experiences and growth
"Thanks to biathlon, I've met many people who have become my friends. I've learned my limits, my strengths, and my weaknesses, especially when you're under pressure. I've had many different experiences that have helped me grow and see things from other points of view.".
One thank you after another
"I wanted to thank the people who have been close to me over the years, who believed in me and supported me on this adventure. I thank the entire Italian team staff and everyone who has worked with me in the past, and I'm convinced that without the team, without the passion of our staff, I wouldn't have done all this. Of course, I thank my family, who have always been there for me and who have supported me and put up with me even during the difficult times of this long journey. Thank you to EVERYONE.".
