Care and protection of the territory
Very, too often, denigrated and slandered. The reality is that the bond that hunters have with their territory and the environment It's really unique and strong. All this has led about forty hunters to dedicate an entire day to the care and protection of the territory in which they live. The initiative was born from an idea of the wild boar hunting team "Ville e Alfero" in collaboration with the "La Rocca" tour, the Federcaccia Verghereto, Alfero and Riofreddo sections, the Faunistic company "Alto Tevere" and the Alto Savio Alpine Group.
Four overflowing trucks
Attention was paid to the territory in all its aspects, in particular to the mowing of the grass at the monument to the Fallen of Alfero and at the Church of the Madonna della Neve in Castel D'Alfero; to the maintenance of the greenery and the fence at the Cippo dell'Alpino and to the collection of waste thrown shamelessly along ditches and roads. The result is the following: four trucks full of everything, truck and car tires, water heaters, household appliances, sofas, bicycles, sanitary ware, cans and bottles of all kinds.
The world still has some hope
The day ended with a lunch together at the Alfero Campsite, reflecting on how we too often lose respect for what surrounds us. Seeing how much has been collected makes us infinitely proud of the result, even more so hearing from those who passed by and saw us at work: “If certain people still exist, the world still has some hope”.
