Traditional appointment
The Befana race is now a well-established tradition Lady Federcaccia, who at the beginning of the new year renewed this beautiful habit in the Dog Training Area of Limbiate (MB), in the dog test reserved for all female dog handlers.
The winners
The event was held on freed quails, judged by a couple of fine dog lovers from Lombardy (Mariliano Mazzoleni and Fiorenzo Cortinovis), assisted in the secretariat by Pietro Erario, who evaluated the work of the large number of participants. The competition was won by Emanuela Fusari (already Italian champion) with Elite della Bassa Reggiana, an English Setter who is now a regular at dog trials in northern Italy.
Young talents
During the awards ceremony, awards were also given to all the Federcacciatrici who achieved important results in 2024, such as Emanuela Fusari herself, Sara Maruelli, Kristina Fontana, Rebecca Tenconi and Renata Giovannini. Among the participants there were also several little girls, the "new generation" who wink at the future of dog breeding (source: Federcaccia)
