Maybe a barking dog doesn't bite, but it can certainly make you lose your temper. hunting licenseThis is what emerges from the ruling of the Lazio Regional Administrative Court of June 9th, which assessed and rejected an appeal filed by a man who had been denied a hunting rifle license. The revocation was based on the man's conflict with his neighbor, but above all, on threats directed at the neighbor's dog. The story, however, is quite complex.
The reconstruction of the facts
The appellant (and his wife) were reported by neighbors for trespassing on their land. The appellant also complained repeatedly about the dog, which had repeatedly trespassed on his home, to the point of threatening to kill it. The dog later died, and the man, who lost his hunting license, was investigated as the alleged perpetrator, but was acquitted on the grounds of non-compliance.
Unreliability of the subject
The complaints and conflicting reports, to say the least, prompted the Carabinieri to propose revoking the rifle license, and for this reason the Police Headquarters deemed the individual unreliable. According to the Lazio Regional Administrative Court (TAR), the decision was correct because the situation just described can absolutely be associated with a prognostic assessment of unreliability according to the principles of logic and reasonableness.
