The facts in detail
In Castelnuovo al Vomano, in the province of Teramo, a singular event occurred that has to do with large carnivores and that makes us understand how alarming the situation is in our country. A 44-year-old farmer was attacked by a wolf while he was busy working the land with his brother-in-law.
The sudden leap
In reality, it was two specimens that were chasing wild boars. One of the two actually pounced on the man, jumping on him and trying to wound him in the neck. Fortunately, the 44-year-old has a past as a boxer that helped him avoid worse consequences.
The prognosis
The fact that he raised his shoulder allowed him to avoid being bitten, even though the wounds he suffered required 20 stitches: the farmer, in fact, was hit in the cheekbone, lip and wrist. The prognosis, however, will be ten days.
