An important and prestigious milestone
Best wishes to the State Police Sports Group, which today turns seventy. A great party was organized at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Rome, attended by 500 athletes from Flames Gold to worthily celebrate this important milestone and the many successes they themselves have achieved in the most prestigious international competitions.
The presence of President Rossi
Authoritative presences, such as that of the Minister for Sport and Youth Andrea Abodi, the Minister for Disability Alessandra Lucatelli and the Chief of Police and Director General of Public Safety Vittorio Pisani, who was the host, made the day truly exciting. Representing Clay Pigeon Shooting, in addition to the large group of Shooters-Policemen of the Sports Group, was the President of Fitav and ISSF Luciano Rossi. On the stage were Jessica Rossi, Olympic Champion of London 2012 in the women's Trap, and Gabriele Rossetti, Olympic Champion in Rio de Janeiro 2016 in the Men's Skeet and Olympic Champion in Paris 2024 in the Skeet Mixed Team. The latter received, precisely by virtue of the success achieved in this year's Olympic Games in France, a promotion for extraordinary merits.
A fundamental contribution
“I am grateful and honored to be present on this occasion – commented Rossi at the end of the event – I say this both as a citizen, whose safety is guaranteed by the daily work of thousands of Police officers who operate throughout the Italian territory, and as Federal President, perfectly aware of the extent of the fundamental contribution that the Fiamme Oro Group provides to Italian Sport” (source: FITAV).
