A new goal
On 17 April, at the Sports School of Sport and Health, at the end of the 1st training course organized by trust, the first federal veterinarians for dog sports have been qualified. After codification through a particular register and official recognition by CONI and Sport and Health, the exciting journey of the "Athlete Dog" not only did not stop but crossed another finish line which perhaps represents the most significant operational step .
Delivery of certificates
The course was held by the pool of highly specialized teachers who have supported Fidasc since the beginning of this journey: by prof. Filippo Maria Martini and doctors Massimo Floris; Gianluigi Giovagnoli; Sergio Maffi; and Daniela Mignacca. The certificates were delivered by the president Felice Buglione and the general secretary Valeria Squillante and the qualified veterinary doctors were: Roberta Amoroso; Chiara Basile; Andrea Bonardi; Anna Brandstetter De Benedetti; Chiara Dolzani; Andrea Galimberti; Andrea Guidoni; Pliny Lidano; Mirella Lopedote; Filippo Lusetti; Gaetano Domenico Marrazzo; Valeria Migliaccio; Michele Novelli and Giacomo Vincenzo.
A fundamental step
After the official ratification by the Federal Council, which was already present largely in remote connection, and the communication to CONI, Sport and Health and the other interested government bodies, this first group of sports veterinarians, coming from nine regions, will be fully operational, both through actual official calls and through invitations, on the occasion of the first competitions scheduled for the next few weeks. President Buglione, in thanking the teachers and the new sports veterinarians, once again wanted to underline the importance of this new step not only for federal activity but for the entire and increasingly vast universe of dog enthusiasts who will be able to practice the various specialties in total safety and with the strictest respect for the psycho-physical well-being of their four-legged athlete-friends.
