Where the meeting took place
The FITAV Federal Council met at 10:30 this morning, Thursday 18 December, in Room A of the Palazzo delle Federazioni Sportive on Viale Tiziano 74 in Rome for its eighth and final meeting of 2025.
The words of President Rossi
Conducting the meeting was Federal President Luciano Rossi, who, as usual, opened the meeting with his remarks: "2026 will be a crucial year for our Federation: numerous events await us, both in Italy and abroad, with our country once again at the forefront. In terms of Olympics, I'm thinking of the World Cup in Lonato, the World Cup Final in Rome, and the Mediterranean Games in Taranto, which will return to Italy after a 17-year absence, but also of the three major international amateur events: the European Sporting Championship in Vetralla, the European Propeller Championship in Bologna, and the Compak Sporting World Championship in Rio Salso," explained the leading figure in Italian and world clay shooting. "Let's not forget, then, that 2026 will also be the year of our FITAV Centenary: a long journey of commitment, collaborative work, and successes that have made us a leader in the global competitive scene. My invitation is simple: Let's roll up our sleeves and, all together, make the centenary year one of the most memorable in our history."
Other resolutions
Among the numerous items under discussion are the formal assignment of the venues for the 2026 Federal Calendar competitions, the affiliation of new ASDs, the appointment of the new Provincial Delegate of Ragusa, and all the technical and administrative issues necessary for the proper functioning of the complex Federal machine (source: FITAV).
