UNA Foundation (Man, Nature, Environment), a reality that represents the meeting point in Italy between the environmentalist, agricultural and hunting, scientific and academic worlds, will be present again this yearat the European Outdoor Show (EOS) in Verona, the fair dedicated to hunting, shooting, personal defense, fishing and boating, which will be held from 17 to 19 February at veronafiere. The event, which has now become annual, is not only an opportunity to bring together a community of professionals and enthusiasts, active throughout the national territory, but it is also an opportunity for the Foundation to present hunters and armorers first and foremost, the projects it promotes, aimed at enhance the figure of the modern hunter and protect the future of sustainable hunting.
Building on the success of the previous edition, UNA Foundation will also bring game to EOS-2024, presenting, in collaboration with APS Wild Taste, several restaurateurs and some hunting associations, a calendar of tastings, show cooking e opportunity for dialogue, aimed at raising public awareness of the physical and organoleptic characteristics of game.
The scheduled appointments, shown below, will take place in the show cooking area inside pavilion 10 (stand A305).
Saturday February 17
- Ore 13.00 – Show cooking "From the forest to the table, the advantages of a game-based cuisine", with the contribution of Renata Briano, President of the Scientific Committee of Fondazione UNA and the intervention of the National Coordination of female hunters of Federcaccia, represented by Isabella Villa and chef Anita Stogbuchner.
- Ore 13:30 - "Digital Race 2024", Fondazione UNA will reward the winning projects, created by students of some national universities, on the topic of wildlife conservation and management.
Sunday February 18
- 10 am – Show cooking “Wild aperitif, what you wouldn't expect from game”, with the intervention of Renata Briano, President of the Scientific Committee of the UNA Foundation.
- 13 am – Show cooking “Proposals from the forest, authenticity and awareness: the ingredients of an excellent lunch”, with the contribution of Renata Briano, President of the Scientific Committee of UNA, and the intervention of Antonella Labate, Councilor of the Scientific Committee of UNA, on the ecological role of the hunter.
- 14 am – Show cooking “The unmistakable flavor of game, new interpretations in the wake of tradition”, with Renata Briano, President of the Scientific Committee and Antonella Labate, Advisor to the Scientific Committee of UNA.
- 16 am – Show cooking “When the forest teases you, Snacks game-based nutrients”, with the contribution of Antonella Labate, Advisor to the Scientific Committee of UNA, and an in-depth analysis on the sustainable approach to feathered game, curated by Costantino Gentile of the national coordination of the FIDC young hunters group.
Monday February 19
- 12 Hours: 00 - “Selvatici e Buoni, Fondazione UNA's commitment to communicating hunting through the sustainable game supply chain”, in collaboration with Assoarmieri, a dialogue aimed in particular at professionals in the arms sector, with the contribution of Pietro Pietrafesa, General Secretary of Fondazione UNA and Assoarmieri, Antonella Labate, Councilor of the Scientific Committee of UNA, and Nicolò Fabbriziani of Assoarmeri.
All the show cooking and tastings to follow will be coordinated by Alessandro Benatti and Frédérique Roux ofAPS Wild Taste, while the dishes will be prepared by the expert hands of the chefs Giacomo dell'Aglio and Tommaso Picollo, of the “Locanda del Daino” restaurant, Luigi Martini of the “Le Frise” farmhouse and Davide Moles of the “Malga Stain” refuge.
In the area dedicated to UNA Foundation, between pavilions 11 and 12, you will have the opportunity to discover past and ongoing projects for 2024, including the new edition of “Operation Paladins of the Territory”. UNA, in fact, aims to increasingly involve the gunsmith world, bringing hunters, shooters and retailers to share its mission, in the process of making the hunter responsible, as a positive actor within the ecosystem and of promoting values of sustainable hunting activity.
In the space available to UNA, there will also be “Bonora Brothers” who will create some wildlife and nature themed illustrations on branded t-shirts, to be donated to the Foundation's loyal public.
