The technical qualities of Leica binoculars are all there. The only concession: compactness. The two new Noctivid 8×25 and 10×25 and Forest Italy Presented at the EOS Show 2026, these pocket-sized, lightweight lenses are ideal for hunting due to their unsurpassed image quality and sharpness. The two inward-folding tubes feature a new, extremely stable yet smooth opening and closing mechanism.
There are some similarities to the Ultravid model, but it's a completely new optical design. The ocular lenses, for example, are very large, with a 120-meter field of view, 90% light transmission, a 2-meter minimum focusing distance, and comfortable viewing even for eyeglass wearers.
The internal focusing, with diopter adjustment on the eyepiece, is flawless, and it's waterproof to a depth of 5 meters. The aluminum body is extremely robust inside and out, covered with a thick, pleasant-to-the-touch rubber coating or leather. Both magnifications cost €915, weigh approximately 750 grams, and measure 112 x 110 x 40 mm. The package includes a carrying strap, eyepiece cap, and a case with a belt loop, made of Cordura or leather, depending on the finish.
Interesting too the Ollin digiscoping adapter, imported from the United States and distributed by Forest Italia. It's a simple system consisting of a magnetic ring that slides onto the eyepiece of the telescope (or binoculars) and a smartphone case with complementary magnets. Simply hold the smartphone camera lens against the eyepiece of any commercial telescope and it will instantly position itself perfectly, without having to waste any time.
The ring comes with a corded cap that attaches to the lens. You need to order the specific model for your lens's make and model, which costs €185. Ollin produces custom adapters for all major binoculars and telescopes on the market. An adhesive plate, centered on the camera, can be applied to any smartphone case (excluding iPhone Pro, for which a dedicated Ollin case is available). The plate features magnets that complement the adapter's, and it costs €35. When you place your smartphone with its case on the adapter, the two parts magnetically attach in an instant, securely, precisely, and self-centering. Detaching the two components is just as easy.
There are two versions, one for smartphones with a corner camera and one for those with a central camera. The adapter can be left on the eyepiece at all times, even while observing, without compromising the field of view. The Ollin magnetic cap offers the best possible protection for the lens.
The smartphone binocular eyepiece adapter costs 170 euros.
