No more subsidies to associations opposed to hunting. In summary, the resolution announced a few days ago by Guy Harlé d'Olphove, number one of the Federation of Oise Hunters. It is one of the departments into which France is divided and which is part of the region of Nord-Pas-de-Calais-Picardie (the capital is Lille). The annual meeting of transalpine hunters was held in Clermont and was dominated by this proposal. Harlé d'Olphove was in the past also vice-president of the regional council of Picardy (in 1986 to be precise) and is also the president of the local Environment Commission.
As reported by Le Parisien, the resolution is based on the finding that in the first three months of the presidential term there was a complete lack of enthusiasm for a hunter who managed to reach the top of an organization that deals with the environment. Harlé d'Olphove's first request was precisely to ask what is the criterion by which money is paid to environmental organizations: we are talking about 12 million euro, a figure on which the president of the hunters wants to shed some light. The president has repeatedly assured that economic allocations of this type will no longer exist and that things will change: in particular, the associations that aim at the disappearance of hunting and those who practice hunting will no longer be financed.
The new Regional Federation of Hauts-de-France (name recently chosen to replace that of the French region) will reunite for the first time with this denomination next July 1st. In a little less than three months there will be about 120 thousand hunters who will meet and discuss on different topics: in particular, it will be a unique opportunity to share wealth, skills and experiences, as remarked by Harlé d'Olphove. How can hunting in the Oise department be described? The huntable species they are only those listed by the Ministry.
The methods allowed and authorized are substantially three, but other traditional ones may be admitted, in compliance with very specific conditions regarding the capture of species in small quantities. One of the most important events will take place in nine months. Effectively, the seventh edition of the "Hunting and Nature Festival" will be staged on 3 and 4 September next, an event that will take place inside the park of the palace of Compiègne, a place not far from Paris. On that occasion, new developments will certainly be known regarding this resolution of the departmental hunters.
