What was supposed to be a simple and convivial one social dinner has turned into a real process that will begin next January. We are talking about the meal organized by Aviano Hunting Reserve, in the province of Pordenone: during dinner it was consumed chamois meat, but three hunters were sanctioned for giving up the same meat without the necessary health visits.
The killing of the animal dates back to exactly one year ago, while the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region decided to administratively fine the members last September. The hunters, however, have decided to oppose the measure and therefore the whole affair will be discussed in court starting January 10th. According to the defense, the chamois meat had been delivered to the hunting reserve: according to the internal regulations, must remain the property of the same reserve at 50% and for the remaining 50% of those who killed the wild.
In the event that the members did not deliver the meat there would be penalties. There were no disciplinary sanctions, but administrative ones did: the disputed accusation is the violation of Regional Law 6 of 2008 ("Provisions for wildlife planning and hunting activities"). In a month and a half, the judge's point of view will be known.
