The regional section of the Friuli Venezia Giulia of LAV (Anti-Vivisection League) he defined as "Yet another disconcerting gift to the hunting world" as decided by the Region in August. After the authorization toculling of nutria and the use of cages that are considered smaller than those required by law, this time the association took it out with a resolution that will become effective in October.
Two capture plants, that of Porcia and tricesimo, they will be able to capture blackbirds, caesene and thrushes through the use of networks, in order to strengthen the farms intended for reproduction of live calls. The Friulian farms do not satisfy the request of the local hunting world and therefore it was necessary to introduce this derogation. According to the LAV, a bleak picture is about to emerge.
In the official note of the League it was underlined that the regional act is in contrast with the Birds Directive and the national law on the protection of wildlife. In addition, there was also talk of a "surreptitious attempt to reintroduce prohibited fowling". Guido Iemmi, referent of the Friulian LAV, then added: "Our Region seems much more committed to respond positively and promptly to every request from the hunting world". The association said it was ready to report the case to the European Commission.
