The first consideration that comes to mind is that already the expelled hunt, the real one, the one that is done with boots on and sweat and fatigue, I miss it to death. The season ended a couple of months ago and the idea of not being able to hunt freely, with the dog, friends and everything else saddens me.
The other consideration, completely different from the one just exposed, makes me think how we Italians did it to show us the primacy of the most important and representative event that talks about weapons, hunting, outdoor leisure. I come back from Germany and I assure you that theIWA it really is a fair with controfiocchi. Nothing to say, it fully deserves all the success and importance it has. But what I can't swallow is because we managed to throw away the EXA of Brescia and instead of making it grow and strengthen it, making it more and more competitive, it was made to die. It is to say that the characteristics were all there, Brescia is one of the most important centers in the world for the production of weapons, the position is certainly strategic and even the climate is better. However nothing, we are forced to go to Germany and attend the great Teutonic organization that makes the fair more and more important every year.
Normally in these cases one wonders about responsibilities. I'm tired of the usual ballet according to which with the game of the barrel discharge in the end nobody's responsibility. That is why I will try to give some food for thought, of course it will be partial and I expect your considerations.
First of all, our political representatives have abandoned the idea of having a leading European trade fair in a country where arms production certainly represents world-class excellence. But even the organizers did not have the courage and the cunning to believe in an ambitious project, worried as they were in charging, in disproportionate figures, even the parking spaces of the exhibitors. In my opinion, our arms industries are also responsible, too focused on shop business, have not opened their mouths or rather their portfolios to defend the centrality of Italy in the exhibition sector. I understand that we live in a global era and that hopefully we are slowly emerging from an epochal economic crisis, but who better than them should have known that defending Italy means defending themselves. Whenever we give up something is lost, it will be difficult or almost impossible to win it back. The Made in Italy it is still a very strong brand because someone before us has been able, with intelligence, creativity, sacrifices and hard work, to affirm the idea that if made in Italy it works, it is beautiful, it is special. If we let this idea take away, believe me, we have little left.
I keep unpacking while I get a call from a friend who tells me that this year the Vinitaly is decreasing, producers prefer to go to ProWein, the wine fair which takes place in Dusseldorf in Germany and is better organized. But do we realize?
Good luck to all.
